Kooth (KOO.L) has had a lively couple of sessions after Meta agreed to pay up to $18bn to settle US state claims that Facebook and Instagram were designed to addict children and contributed to the youth mental health crisis.

The share price was ~146p going into the news. It closed 162.5p on Thursday and has been materially higher again today.
The link is thematic rather than contractual. A chunk of the settlement is expected to be earmarked by states for youth mental health programmes.
Kooth already sells digital early-intervention support into that market — Kooth/Qwell in the UK and Soluna in the US, including a large California contract.

The SP has been held back here waiting to see if Kooth can sign up any other states to their platform.

That does not mean settlement cash automatically lands in Kooth’s bank account of course! But certainly has the potential to be a "catalyst event" for Kooth.

Not advice. DYOR.
